‘Bachelor in Paradise 3’ video: Wells Adams arrives — to answer Ashley Iaconetti’s prayers?

There should be one thing that is clear to almost every viewer of “Bachelor in Paradise” at this point: This show is not serious. It’s completely ridiculous, stuffed full of nonsense, and we do think that in many ways, it prefers it that way. It makes it a little less accountable, and you can just follow the crazy ride and choose whether or not you’re actually watching in hopes of seeing someone fall in love.

We have seen many obnoxious things with this show over the years, whether it be fake conversations with raccoons or editing packages to make it look as though Evan Bass got beat up by Chad Johnson. On Monday’s new episode, the show may be outdoing itself by seemingly having Ashley Iaconetti summon Wells Adams to Mexico by praying to the spirit of her dead dog.

It’s National Dog Day, so the thought of her mourning a pet does make us a little bit sad. Yet, the show chooses to make it into this complete bit of over-the-top nonsense, and you almost get the sense that Ashley is about to break out laughing during her “prayer,” like it’s something suggested to her for the sake of crazy TV. Say what you will about her, but she’s very good about figuring out ways to get the cameras on her!

Following this “prayer,” Wells shows up and it seems as though she has her eye on him immediately. We do know that the two will have some sort of relationship based on some previews that are out there. As for how long it ultimately lasts, that is what remains to be seen.
