‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2 video: Producers, cast look back on first half
The second season of “Fear the Walking Dead” will return following a hiatus on Sunday night, and in the video below, you can get a sense precisely as to how we’ve gotten to the point where so many characters are separated.
In here, executive producer Dave Erickson discusses the decision to have so many members of the cast separated off after the lengthy journey at sea, and the cast chimes in as they discuss how, in some odd ways, many of their characters feel like they are doing the right thing by not being around others. At the moment, for example, Chris appears to be completely detached mentally from the rest of the world. His actions are scary, but he still has someone in Travis who wants to look after him.
Elsewhere, the most fascinating storyline to us, at least for the time being, is that of Nick just given where we’ve seen him go to date and his new fascination with the death. He sees them in a way that is more in line to how Celia did, and he’s going to go through an emotional journey that separates him from some of the other main characters. In particular, be prepared to him to be a main focus of Sunday’s episode, as he meets new people potentially and is immersed in a new culture. Whether or not he finds what he wants remains to be seen; then again, he could realize that what he receives is clarity that brings him back home to his family (wherever that home may be).
