‘American Horror Story’s’ Ryan Murphy casts Catherine Zeta-Jones for FX’s ‘Feud’

While much of the chatter these days from the Ryan Murphy universe has been about the super-mysterious sixth season of “American Horror Story,” at the same time there is another series even beyond this one and “American Crime Story” season 2 in development: “Feud.” This is an anthology series that will be about a famous conflict every season, with the first one starring Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon as Joan Crawnford and Bette Davis.

Today, Ryan Murphy added another extremely accomplished name to the list in Catherine Zeta-Jones. In a new post on Twitter, the showrunner (who has long been absent from social media) confirmed that the Oscar winner will play another Oscar winner in Olivia de Havilland.

What’s going to be great about this project first and foremost is that it allows for opportunities to see extremely accomplished people in tremendous roles. Another reason is merely the fact that you’re going to have a chance to see a little bit of Hollywood history. It’s something that really has not been addressed too much on TV at times, potentially out of fear at times over upsetting some members of the elite who may know the parties involved. (Mind you, that’s just a theory of ours.)

There’s no premiere date for “Feud” at the moment, but rest assured that we will have some further news all about it the moment that it becomes available.
