‘Homeland’ season 6 spoilers: ‘The Flash,’ ‘CSI: NY’ actors sign on
While the sixth season of “Homeland” may not be premiering on Showtime until the new year, we like to think that it’s never too late to get some casting intel on what is coming up!
Per a report from TVLine, “The Flash” actor Patrick Sabongui is one of the latest editions to the series, and is going to be playing the part of a CUNY law professor who is a champion of the Muslim-American community, and also spends a substantial amount of time with Carrie (Claire Danes) over the course of the season. We’re not sure what this means for his role as Captain Singh on the CW series; hopefully, he can find a way to do both in some capacity.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Hill Harper from “CSI: NY” has also been cast as the Chief of Staff to the female President-Elect that the show is bringing in for the sixth season. While there are not too many specifics out there when it comes to the overarching story, we know that this lame-duck period of uncertainty is a key component in what is coming up.
Filming for the new season is taking place in New York, and given what we’ve seen on the show over the past few years, we imagine that it will once again be timely, interesting, and dramatic. We do think now that the series has found its voice again after its creative bumps in the road during seasons 3 and 4, so we are curious to see what lies ahead.
