‘After Paradise’ spoilers: Sean Lowe, Chad Johnson, Michelle Collins, more appear in premiere
Not only is the third episode of “Bachelor in Paradise” airing on ABC tonight, but we’re also getting a chance to see the return of “After Paradise,” the live aftershow that first began last year.
There are some clear changes to what the show is doing this time, at least per an official press release. We’ll just drop this description in here:
“After Paradise” will feature host [Michelle] Collins and co-host [Sean] Lowe discussing and dissecting the most recent episodes of “Bachelor in Paradise,” alongside cast members and celebrity fans. Bachelor fans know Collins from her time on daytime talker “The View” as the biggest fan of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” while Lowe found love on the 17th season of “The Bachelor” with now wife Catherine. The couple recently welcomed son Samuel. Together, they’ll present questions and comments from viewers, debut deleted scenes, outtakes and exclusive extra content, all the while allowing members of #BachelorNation to finally have their say.
Interestingly, there is no mention of Chris Harrison in here, but the release also states that the guests for episode will include writer Diablo Cody and “Bachelor in Paradise” participants Chad Johnson, Leah Block, Lace Morris, and Jubilee Sharpe. Will this make for good television? Possible. We love Collins’ appreciation for all things “Bachelor,” and Sean is an underrated TV personality and an A-list show tweeter. They could be a good combination. We just feel like the show’s biggest problem is that there are typically too many people on the stage at the same time, and we don’t often think that the “celebrity superfan” component adds much unless it was Collins … and now she’s seemingly a regular fixture on it.
