‘America’s Got Talent’: Paul Zerdin, Mat Franco to perform on first results show
This week is turning out to be quite a bit one when it comes to all things “America’s Got Talent.” Not only is the first live performance show coming to NBC Tuesday night, but at the same exact time, we also now know who will be performing in the first results show.
During the show on Wednesday, it will be all about champions! Reigning champ Paul Zerdin will be back to give some sort of performance featuring his wide array of puppets. He became the second ventriloquist to win the show following Terry Fator, and he has the sort of act that could easily turn him into a Las Vegas staple. The same goes for fellow champion Mat Franco, who will also be back. For the most part the show’s winners over the years are still for the most part sings, but the ones who have gone on to have the most success have largely come from other fields.
If nothing else, we give NBC some applause for continuing to stay true to at least the recent memory of the franchise, and we do appreciate that they have really tried to feature a wide array of talent over the past few years in particular. Sure, you could argue that singers have the edge this year with all of the golden buzzers, but people still do have to vote for them. It all comes down to this when determining precisely who is going to end up winning.
We’ll be back soon with more on all of tonight’s acts!
