‘Game of Thrones’: Does Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, or Lena Headey have best Emmy odds?

Tyrion -Game of Thrones” clearly had a lot to celebrate even if there weren’t Emmy Awards coming up.Just remember for a minute here that the latest season was the most-watched in history, that the reviews from critics were strong, and that there are potentially still thirteen episodes still to go.

In the end, you just gotta consider the nominations to be the icing on the cake, and when it comes to the acting love, seeing five nominations is a huge surprise even to us. So who are in the best position to actually become Emmy winners? That is what we were curious to debate in this article … so we’re going to do our part to rank them!

5. Maisie Williams (Arya) – It’s great to see Maisie finally get some Emmy love, but the funny thing is that aside from “No One” and her moment killing Walder Frey at the end of the season, we actually don’t think that this was really the best season as a whole for her character. Personally, Arya with the Hound was the strongest Arya.

4. Emilia Clarke (Dany) – Similarly, we didn’t think that anything for this character this season was stronger than the story for Dany season 3 or season 1, where she had her biggest rise from nothing on her way to becoming a power player in this world. Still, Clarke was great in “Battle of the Bastards.”

3. Kit Harington (Jon) – Just for “Battle of the Bastards” alone, this award was merited, and we do think that this could be one of the strongest Jon seasons to date. Physicality is something often overlooked when determining Emmys, and you really saw the full extent of his determination and pain this year. He’s got an underdog shot at this.

2. Lena Headey (Cersei) – From our personal perspective, Headey gave the best performance of anyone for season 6 and it’s really not even close. From the first few episodes to the massacre in “The Winds of Winter,” she was fantastic. The thing here is that we’re ranking in terms of who is the most likely to win, and it’s possible the three actresses cancel each other out in the Supporting Actress – Drama field.

1. Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) – He’s won twice before, and that goes for a lot when predicting future wins. Sure, it wasn’t the best Tyrion season ever, but we’ve learned not to bet against Peter. Plus, even a so-so Tyrion season is better than a season for many other characters.
