‘UnREAL’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Surprises are in store on ‘Casualty’

We’re now officially at the halfway point of “UnREAL” season 2, and we’re very much pleased that the show has started to increase its intensity after a slow start. The relationship with Rachel and Quinn has been all over the place, Chet has started to find a voice again, and Darius is starting to act out more against production.

So where are we going next? The title for the next new episode is “Casualty,” and of course that worries us. The synopsis below, via TV Guide, gives you a little more insight when it comes to what you can expect:

“Rachel deals with a trauma, and Chet is there for her. Meanwhile, Quinn pursues a new relationship; Rachel learns something surprising on a hometown date; and an angry Darius makes a startling decision.”

We are hoping that this episode of course brings things in an interesting direction, or at least continues to establish itself as somewhat different from season 1. One thing that we certainly do like is that Darius actually does seem to be into one of his contestants for a change; however, at the same exact time there are hurdles being put in his way to temper it. It’s almost like “Everlasting” as a show is trying to hamper what is intended to be its primary purpose. That whole concept of falling in love is never quite guaranteed here; just take a look at this past season for some evidence of that.
