‘Preacher’ episode 7 preview: What lies ahead for Dominic Cooper, cast?

Over the course of “Preacher” season 1 so far, we’ve certainly seen a wide array of developments. For one, Jesse Custer has started to lose a little bit of control of what lies within him, and we’re starting to get a sense as to why our representatives from Heaven wanted to speak to him sooner rather than later. On a different note, we’re not going to deny that drawing this story out has led to some glorious stuff. The opening minutes of tonight’s episode were particularly great.

Based on the promo below, one of the big themes next week will be watching Jesse become unhinged. He will continue to lead his congregation and offer up hope for redemption … but who is offering it up? We do think that we’re coming off of the most shocking event of the series to date courtesy of what happened to Eugene, so we’ll have to see precisely just what the next move is.

Elsewhere, get ready for Tulip to be center stage for her own story, one that will hopefully change the direction for her and Cassidy somewhat given that the latter couldn’t be too thrilled with what he heard on tonight’s episode. We’re definitely now in the home stretch of the season, and we have to think that things are going to get so much crazier before they start to level off … that is, of course, if it ever does level off.
