‘The Fosters’ season 4, episode 3 preview: When will Maia Mitchell, cast return?

Callie -Tonight, “The Fosters” is giving us the second episode of the season in “Stay,” and it feels hard to deny that this one will be emotional. We’re coming off of the super-harrowing season 4 premiere, one that featured the entire school being locked down after Nick brought a gun to campus. We’ll have some more on that story a little bit later tonight with our review, but for now, we want to give you a few details on what is coming beyond that.

This episode is entitled “Trust,” and the bad news associated with it is mostly that you’re going to have to wait a while for it to air, given that it is not scheduled until July 11. Understandably, Freeform doesn’t want to lose some of the ratings that are associated with it airing on the Fourth of July.

The synopsis below, meanwhile, gives you a full sense that the show is going to be dealing still with the aftereffects of Nick’s actions, to go along with some events involving Callie that could propel her life in a different direction:

“In the aftermath of the school lockdown, Mariana is called out by other students who blame her for Nick’s actions. Callie is also taunted at school and her inappropriate reaction gets her suspended. But what starts off as a punishment turns into an adventure when she meets Aaron, a handsome young law student who knows nothing about her or her past.

“Meanwhile, when Taylor invites Jude to her church youth group, he questions her motives.”
