‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ star Meghan King Edmonds, husband Jim expecting!

Mrs. Carter: Meghan King Edmonds has quite a bit to celebrate!

Tonight, the reality star’s latest season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is going to premiere on Bravo, but to go along with that, she is now expecting her first child with husband and former baseball star Jim Edmonds. In a post on Instagram, King confirmed the news with the following message:

“We’re expecting a perfect little bundle of sugar and spice and everything nice! ?Jimmy and I are over the moon! We are thrilled to bring our daughter into our perfectly imperfect blended family in time for the holidays!”

Jim has multiple children from past relationships, and Meghan has spoken openly about the joy she has found in being a stepmother; at the same time, she also has expressed an interest in having children of her own, and we would not be surprised to see that become a storyline at some point over the course of the coming season. We imagine that we’ll hear quite a bit about it, and given the timing of this announcement, we’ll probably get a chance to hear her speak even more openly about her pregnancy at the season 11 reunion show filmed a little bit later this year.

For now, congratulations to Meghan and Jim! Here’s to hoping that neither one of them have to endure anything too insane from a dramatic point of view over the course of the rest of the season. We know that once this show gets its talons into any given subject, it has a very hard time letting go.
