‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 9 photo: See Kit Harington, Sophie Turner at ‘Battle of the Bastards’

At this point, any longtime fan of “Game of Thrones” knows precisely what is coming this Sunday in “Battle of the Bastards.” It’s a chance to see all of Jon Snow’s forces, which include the Night’s Watch, the Wildings, and potentially also various members of House Tully, try to do battle with Ramsay Bolton and his own army. There are serious vendettas here to go beyond just a stake in Winterfell, and you can see some of that via Sophie Turner’s face in the photo above.

This image shows Sansa looking incredibly serious alongside Jon (Kit Harington), potentially as they are starting to see the battle go down around them. The photo below effectively confirms that this is one of the most epic battle sequences we have ever seen on TV, with there being potentially hundreds or even thousands of people taking part. We know that this is the ninth episode of the season for a reason, and we really would not be shocked if the entirety of the hour is focused here rather than anywhere else in Westeros.

Granted, it would be great if there were a few other stories out there, namely a separate battle in Meereen where Dany has her work cut out for her. We also wonder if there could be a fire or two brewing in King’s Landing with the trials of Loras Tyrell and Cersei Lannister approaching.
