‘Doctor Who’ season 10: Did Peter Capaldi announce big Clara spoiler?

Doctor Who

Is Clara really gone from “Doctor Who” forever? It’s easy to say that the answer to this is “no” for many different reasons, with one of the biggest ones simply being that this show never really says goodbye to anyone. Heck, we’ve already seen a scenario where David Tennant and Matt Smith were able to work together.

Therefore, there is really nothing altogether surprising about the notion of Jenna Coleman’s character resurfacing, which first emerged as a possibility thanks to a recent appearance star Peter Capaldi made while at Awesome Con in Washington DC recently. When talking about a potential return for the character, Capaldi (per the Radio Times) had the following to say: “I’m not sure how successfully Clara was able to wipe his mind.”

After saying this, the actor stopped and admitted that “I just… I was about to tell you something I can’t tell you.” Eventually he proclaimed that he “just shot something that Clara was still there in,” to the delight of many.

Does this mean that Coleman is returning to the show? Not necessarily. Capaldi could be playing something that messes with the existing Clara timeline in one way or another, or this could be footage for “Class” the spin-off set at the Coal Hill School where Clara worked. It’s a little too early to speculate, but it is interesting to think that the franchise is not moving too far away from the character just yet, even though they are at the same time getting set to introduce Pearl Mackie as Bill, the latest companion and Clara’s replacement.
