AMC puts full ‘Preacher’ pilot on YouTube ahead of episode 2
The more and more that we see from AMC in regards to their marketing strategy on “Preacher,” the more one thing feels clear: They really want this show to be a hit!
Yesterday, the network officially opted to put the full pilot episode on YouTube, which you can watch over at the link here. (Note: Of course, there is some violence and language in the episode — this is AMC that we’re talking about here.) There’s nothing to worry about here when it comes to commercial breaks, and while we cannot speak to other countries, we can at least tell you that if you are in Canada, you’re not going to have any problem at all watching this.
The second episode of “Preacher” airs Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and by that point AMC will have really sampled this in just about every way that they can. This includes repeating the pilot on TV this past Sunday, giving you a “Talking Preacher,” and initially airing the premiere after “Fear the Walking Dead” in order to capitalize on that lead-in. The ratings were solid for the first episode, but it makes sense that they would want to try to get something more out of this.
We’re going to have some other news soon on the second episode, including a new video sneak peek! The one thing that we can say to expect is even more of our title character (played by Dominic Cooper) starting to understand his destiny … or at least what appears to be his destiny.
