‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 spoilers: Riley creates an alter ego in ‘Girl Meets Jaxica’
We’ve had a chance now to study some of what the Disney Channel has planned moving into the third season of “Girl Meets World,” and it looks in particular like there is one thing to watch out for: Identity issues. It’s so hard to figure out who you are at any point in your life, but in high school, everything is about a million times worse and far more amplified than it would be at any other point. Life is extremely difficult, and there are times that you may need an escape.
This is why on the upcoming June 10 episode of the show entitled “Girl Meets Jaxica,” we’re going to see Riley try to conjure up some sort of escape in order to ensure that she can find a new venue for herself. Take a look at the synopsis below for a few assorted details:
“Riley creates an online alter-ego, Jexica, when she doesn’t feel confident that her new high school classmates will like the real her. Cory and Topanga struggle with Auggie’s internet usage.”
Most of this story sounds completely relatable for anyone who grew up in the internet age. Part of the appeal of this is the opportunity to be anonymous, since you cannot do that in life. Even the Auggie storyline is relatable to some parents out there, since there is a question about how much of the world you want your child to see, and when you want them to see it. The reality is that there are no cut-and-dry answers to these questions, so you have to be diplomatic and mostly figure them out over time.
