‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2, episode 7 video: Is Daniel having a terrible dream?

The midseason finale for “Fear the Walking Dead” is coming up on AMC Sunday night, and based on the video below, things are going to be getting extremely crazy sooner rather than later … provided that this is not some sort of twisted dream that Daniel Salazar is having.

In this sneak peek, Daniel is seen running with Ofelia before he becomes aware that she is having a problem; specifically, we are speaking in terms of her own face peeling off. This almost feels more like something straight from “Hannibal” than “Fear the Walking Dead,” and it is as creepy as creepy can be. Provided that you like it when this show tries to wig you out, you’re probably going to especially appreciate this.

What we know is that Daniel and Ofelia, dream or not, are not in a safe place right now. While it may have seemed at first like some sort of safe haven, instead we’ve learned that Celia is really using this compound in some ways to further along her own philosophical feeling about zombies being some sort of natural evolution on the way to the afterlife. This is why she has been so willing to care for them and keep them behind the gate. There’s obviously an issue here, mostly because few people are more dangerous than those who believe that what they are doing is not wrong.

Following this episode, the show will be off the air for months. Fingers crossed that it manages to deliver.
