‘Elementary’ season 5: Premiere date speculation, more for Jonny Lee Miller, cast
The fourth season of “Elementary” is going to be wrapping up on CBS some Sunday night, and as we move forward into the off-season, there are of course several questions.
First of all, are we going to see the Jonny Lee Miller series going to be back for another season? The answer here is “yes,” as it’s already been confirmed. We were somewhat pleasantly surprised at that given moment, mostly because of the ratings being what they were for most of season 4 … which was in turn far from great. To be fair, you can blame a couple of different things for that, whether it be a rough timeslot or a change to an even harder one on Sundays in the middle of the week.
Now, the next question: When could it be back? This is one that is a little bit more difficult to answer at present, mostly because of it being a fairly complicated situation at present. For one, will the show remain on Sundays? It so, it could premiere as early as September. If it moves back to Thursdays, the NFL programming is going to make things a little bit more complicated since CBS and NBC are splitting duties this year. We’re going to have to see how that shapes up before we know for sure when the series could return; either it would several weeks into the season, or it could start in September and take a lengthy hiatus a handful of episodes in.
Of course, we’ll have some more news when it comes to “Elementary” and the big finale soon. Stay tuned…
