‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 20 preview: The hunt for Azrael and Hugo Strange

Tonight on “Gotham,” we had our first real opportunity to see Azrael in the flesh, and he definitely proved himself to be a formidable foe in many different ways. He may be somewhat of a baby deer learning to walk, but he’s incredibly dangerous, strong, and capable of killing any opponent. We’re going to have a chance to see that tested even more on next week’s “Wrath of the Villains: Unleashed,” as he will face the target of one Oswald Cobblepot. As you remember, he was already a part of killing him once; why not have it happen all over again?

The synopsis below does a good job of handing down some other news as for what you can expect to see:

“Azrael is on the loose in Gotham City, which sparks Penguin’s need for revenge. Meanwhile, Bruce enlists the help of Selina Kyle to help track down Professor Strange, as he evades arrest for his experiments.”

Based on the promo below, it certainly looks as though there is going to be a lot of craziness coming up over the course of the next installment. What else did you expect given that Azrael is still very much out there and out the prowl? We’re going to see him go after Jim Gordon, and hopefully along the way we’re also going to get a chance to see whether or not Nathaniel Barnes is able to emerge from the rubble alive. That’s one of the mysteries coming out of this episode.
