‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Could ‘Captive’ be key Alycia Debnam-Carey story?
For everyone out there who appreciates the work of Alycia Debnam-Carey (and we know that there are plenty of you out there), rest assured that next week on “Fear the Walking Dead,” you could see a story in “Captive” that gives her quite a bit of material to work with. Alicia is going to struggle to get back together with some other members of the core cast, and given the nature of this world, this is going to be rather rough on her.
In addition to this big story, rest assured that many other characters are going to have quite a bit to do as the odds of survival could be getting slimmer and slimmer. Take a look, per TV Guide, at the short synopsis for this episode below:
“Alicia works to reunite with her family; and Travis meets a familiar face. Meanwhile, Madison and Nick lead a charge to save their family against all odds.”
There are a few stories that are coming up still after this one, so rest assured that there is still quite a bit of excellent story still to tell once “Captive” wraps. We’ll have some further news all about it in due time. The promo below gives you a little more insight into just what sort of situation Alicia is in, and then also at the same time Strand making a few promises. We’re just not sure how many of them he’s going to be able to keep just yet.

The episode 6 synopsis- , cryptic as they are, says “Conflict arises as the Abigail approaches its destination; Chris makes a staggering decision; Nick meets a new maternal figure.” I wonder if Chris kills one of their own, or joins Connor’s group. If they off a character next week or episode 6, then they can “recover”, only to be met with new challenges in the mid-season finale.
Of course, Travis and Alicia are in a tough spot, but I would be on Alicia dying before Travis. Her being killed would be devastating.

I really hope so. I hope Fear gives Alycia good meat to chew on character development wise. Girl can act! And that show needs more proactive characters for sure!! I want her to be a mix of Carol and Michonne, and any swords or other cool weapon would be welcome. Who knows, maybe miss little high achiever took archery classes..or something that can add to her fighting skills…grass hockey? anything really…give her a cool backstory I say!
