‘Call the Midwife’ season 5, episode 6 preview (PBS): Shelagh, Dr. Turner stage a getaway

Call the Midwife -

Next week on “Call the Midwife,” we’re going to get a chance to see a storyline that allows some characters a chance to breathe (at least temporarily), while some others are going to suffer more than ever before. As a matter of fact, we’re going to see one woman’s fear front and center for what may be one of the most horrific, terrifying plotlines that we’ve seen all season.

Before we do anything else, let’s go ahead and share the short synopsis for the hour, as revealed per a new TV Guide report:

“A woman decides not to report a rape; a mother conceals her daughter’s pregnancy; and Shelagh and Timothy secretly organize a long-overdue family camping holiday.”

One other teaser that we will offer now is that there are some attacks occurring on the streets of Poplar, and it is suddenly not going to feel as though this is a safe place to be anymore. This is a particularly scary story for many of these characters, and that’s something that we are going to see quite a few of them struggle with over the course of the hour. By the time we make it to the end here, suffice it to say that there will be at least some answers.

One other thing that you can expect to see here is some sort of new information via Trixie that should inform you more about her character, and how she is coping more following some of the events of this past season.
