‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ spoilers: Antonio Brown, Von Miller, Jodie Sweetin take on popular songs
Monday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” episode is going to have a lot going on through most of it. There’ll be a men vs. women challenge, a double-elimination, and also the remaining Stars performing dances set to some of the biggest songs of all time.
We cannot tell you how all of this is going to go; heck, at the moment we’re not even sure where everyone stands. (We’ll get into that more during our contestant rankings tomorrow.) Check out the song choices below, along with some of our quick-takes about how they fit with each pair!
Antonio Brown & Sharna Burgess – Tango – “Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones. Great song to match Antonio’s intensity. He’s been on the rise, so we expect that to continue.
Ginger Zee & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Viennese Waltz – “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston. No disrespect to the incomparable Whitney Houston, but we’ve seen so many performances of this song on other shows that we’re sick of it.
Jodie Sweetin & Keo Motsepe – Quickstep – “For Once in My Life” by Stevie Wonder. Jodie really shines at routines that are empowering and inspirational. We think that this will end up fitting the bill.
Kim Fields & Sasha Farber – Samba – “ABC” by Jackson 5. Meanwhile, Kim is great at bringing the fun to the show.
Nyle DiMarco & Peta Murgatroyd – Foxtrot – “Beautiful Day” by U2. For Nyle, it’s all about finding a way to reach viewers with his story and what he can do. This song will give him the opportunity.
Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas – Jive – “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner. As you can tell, we really like many of these choices! You can say the same thing here. It’s fast-paced and fun.
Von Miller & Witney Carson – Salsa – “A Little Less Conversation” by Elvis Presley. Well, the streak had to end somewhere. Von’s fun to watch, but this song for a salsa makes little sense.
Wanyá Morris & Lindsay Arnold – Foxtrot – “I Say a Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin. Wanya could dance to someone tapping on a wall. He’ll be just fine.
