ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 20 preview: ‘Trump Card’ tests Kerry Washington, cast with new mission
Can you believe that the fifth season of “Scandal” is almost at an end? Well, it unfortunately is, but there are a couple of episodes that we do need to get to before the curtain drops for good. This includes next week’s “Trump Card,” an installment that is certainly not named that by coincidence. Hollis Doyle is a character who has been drawn up in comparison to Trump, and next week many of the characters, including Kerry Washington’s own Olivia Pope, are going to have to do everything that they can in order to take him out. That means that recent rivals could suddenly become friends in hops of ensuring that there is no trail of carnage.
Take a look at the attached synopsis below, as this offers up some other news when it comes to what to expect:
“Olivia and Abby have to put their differences aside and work together to try and take Hollis Doyle down. Meanwhile, Edison realizes he may have made a deal with the devil as Rowan and Jake continue to try and pull the strings behind his campaign.”
Suddenly, we feel for Edison since there is almost no guarantee that this ends up working well for him. The promo below basically hypes up everything and then some, while setting the table for the most electric showdown that we’ve seen potentially for this entire season. We know tonight’s episode was titled “Buckle Up,” but be prepared to do so again.
