‘Outlander’ season 2, episode 3 ratings continue to stay steady

Outlander -

We know that live+same day ratings for a show like “Outlander” only tell a part of the story. As we’ve said a few times over, the show airs on a Saturday night, and as a result of that it is fairly difficult to really measure things like recordings and online streams via this data. The further and further we go in this age of technology, the more and more we are likely going to see this change.

For now, we’re at least pleased to say that the show’s ratings held up rather nicely in its third season. The Starz series drew a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic for its latest new episode. This is just about even as to what the show got for its most recent episode. The same goes for generating just over 1.2 million viewers. This is a great show of ratings consistency from one week to the next, and a testament to the fans who do watch live.

We’d talk a little bit further at our surprise that Starz hasn’t renewed the show yet, but it feels almost like that goes without saying. We’re not concerned about its future by any means, but we do wonder why the network is taking their time on announcing this. We’d speculate further, but we don’t want to lead anyone on or think that there is a particular reason behind this when we’re not in these meetings.

For those of you who are looking for more news on Saturday’s upcoming episode, rest assured that we’ll have a lot of scoop on that soon!
