‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Comic preview hints at surprising ‘return’

Arrow -After a hiatus over the course of the past few weeks, we are going to see the return of “Arrow” to The CW on Wednesday night … and to go along with that, we’re going to have a rather-dramatic storyline that brings up some painful emotions.

During this episode, Oliver, Diggle, Quentin, and others are going to have to cope with saying goodbye to Laurel Lance, seemingly for good, after her body is laid to rest at a funeral. Therefore, you have to imagine that they are going to be on edge when someone else starts to run around Star City pretending to be the Black Canary. Is Laurel really coming back from the dead? We doubt that, since the show has already used up a lot of currency when it comes to bringing characters back from the dead. We hate to say it, but if they bring her back, there will be no reason to think that death means this for any person on the show.

Are there still ways to see Laurel? Certainly, especially since we know Katie Cassidy will be appearing on “The Flash” later this season as Black Siren, the Earth-2 doppelganger for her character. Maybe it is possible down the road we could see her interact with some of the Earth-1 crew on “Arrow.”

We’ll have some other news on this episode as it gets a little bit closer to it airing. Stay tuned, and keep some of your hankies nearby. We imagine that this one is going to be emotional.
