‘Longmire’ season 5: Katee Sackhoff hints at character return

With “Longmire” season 5 continuing to film in New Mexico, we of course have reason to be excited for the future of the show. It feels like every year the wait for production is a long one, but it comes as a nice signal that we’re not too far away from filming … even if we are still several months. (Season 4 premiered in September, so it wouldn’t shock us if season 5 started up around the same time.)

While we’ve shared a little bit of casting news here and there over the past month, what is interesting about the latest Twitter tease from Katee Sackhoff is that it hints at a returning favorite:

“Just read season 5 episode 4….@LongmirePosse is gonna be pretty d–n excited about who’s coming back! #Longmire @netflix“

We know that there are a lot of recurring characters over the years that we’d love to see back, but we don’t want to get into the game of naming names just for the sake of doing so, especially since we don’t want to get any hopes up. The one thing that we hope is that it’s not someone who we previously believed to be dead, mostly because this show doesn’t need to start getting into “Walking Dead” territory where they start faking people out on character deaths.

In getting back to Sackhoff, we’re really hoping for a big season from Vic in one way or another. While we know that there are some ‘shippers out there for her and Walt, right now we just want to see the two at least get the friendship back that they once had during the first few seasons of the show.
