‘Blindspot’ episode 19 preview: The most harrowing case yet
“Blindspot” has spent a good percentage of this season building towards something big, and here’s the crazy thing: That “something big” is not actually the events of the next new episode. Yet, you can still expect this to be one of the most powerful and emotional episodes of the season so far.
The fact that the show is even opting to depict a school shooting is shocking in itself. We hope that there is a specific reason for it that is character-based, since this is the sort of thing that is going to make quite a few people out there uncomfortable. Yet, at the same exact time we’re glad that NBC is censoring the writers and keeping them from telling this story. The promo gives you a small sense of what you are going to see, and the synopsis below makes it clear that this will be a key cause for Mayfair in particular:
“When a school shooting breaks out during the investigation of a tattoo, the team splits up to take down the shooter. Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) copes with some issues from her past.”
There are a few more stories still to go even after this episode wraps, and it’s all building towards a finale next month that could offer up some larger answers. Before we get to that, though, it is nice to see that the show is making sure to expand the universe beyond just the main two characters. We already know that Jane and Weller are stellar characters worth watching.
