‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Meet 100 Voices of Gospel, Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer act

More news -

One of the things that is the most remarkable about “Britain’s Got Talent” is that it has become more and more of an international show over time, and we’ve even seen winners for the competition hail from outside Britain.

With 100 Voices of Gospel, you’re getting another group that certainly has a lot of global appeal. We know that their lead singer is American, and there’s some humor in the video below about how only one person within the group is apparently from England. (There are two others who were not able to make the audition.) As for why this group chose “BGT” versus any other competition, it’s tough to say, but their audition below from this weekend’s episode certainly impresses!

We’ve heard a lot of gospel acts over the years, but we’re not sure what this particular style is like in terms of popularity in Britain. Therefore, it may have been a smart, strategic move to go over here and perform, largely so that this audience can have a taste of something that they may not be incredibly familiar with in any way.

While we don’t get a sense of what the judges thought of the act in this video, we do feel fairly confident for the most part that they’re going to like this. How could they not, given that they’re getting such an entertaining wall of sound thrown at them? It’s different than the other choirs that they are likely going to see.

Update: This group has received Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer!
