‘Empire’ season 2, episode 14 preview: Lucious, Hakeem, and the Anika problem

One of the things that has become very clear over time on “Empire” is that Lucious Lyon is the sort of person who will do anything that he possibly can in order to get what he wants. That means at times exploiting his family, killing people, making threats, and doing a whole lot of other crazy stuff, as well. He’s ultimately not the sort of guy who really takes anything lightly.

Moving into next week’s new installment of the show entitled “Time Will Unfold,” we’re going to have a chance to see him try to work his unique brand of magic (which is actually just pain) in order to get his position as CEO back. For more, just be sure to take a look at our official synopsis:

“Lucious releases his new music video, as he manipulates and sabotages those around him to regain his CEO position at Empire. Meanwhile, Andre learns more about his grandmother’s mental illness in order to understand his own struggle with bipolar disorder, Anika reveals a big secret to the family and Hakeem leads the big shareholder meeting.”

Given how we’ve seen how Hakeem handles many of his other duties as CEO, who really thinks that he is going to do a flawless job running this meeting? We just can’t see it. Lucious even challenges him on that in the promo below, which also feature Anika announcing that she is pregnant with Hakeem’s child. How do you think that’ll go over?
