‘The X Factor’ UK: The supposed summit to bring Sharon Osbourne back

We are currently still awaiting the official “X Factor” judging announcement for the new season premiering later this year, but the more that we are hearing and reading about, the more likely it is that we could see a nostalgia-heavy panel featuring Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, and potentially Rita Ora. Hey, nostalgia is heavy at the moment, so we definitely would not put it past ITV to have something like this happen.

For the time being, what we can give you as a little bit of evidence that Sharon is considering dipping back into these waters is talk (per The Sun) about an official meeting happening between the current panelist on “The Talk” and the music mogul / longtime executive producer on the show:

“Simon and Sharon have feuded for years and always said they would not work for each other again. But Simon is willing to put the past behind them because he is convinced the chemistry of the original panel is needed. He invited Louis and Sharon for dinner so he could see if it was still the same as before.

“Louis is determined for Sharon to take the job. He has made it a big part of his decision to come back and has urged Simon to persuade her.”

Even if Osbourne does join, there is still no official confirmation that Ora will be on board. For the time being, it feels almost like Cowell is working on securing the original trio of judges before making anything happen for certain with the final spot on the panel.
