‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 18 preview: Hugo Strange, Mr. Freeze run rampant in ‘Pinewood’

“Gotham” is a world of many secrets, and moving into next week’s all-new episode entitled “Pinewood,” we imagine that many of them are going to start to crack open. We’ve got Barbara Kean back out in the world, Hugo Strange starting to come into his own, and also some villains starting to roar in unexpected ways.

By the end of the episode, we have a feeling that things will never be the same. The synopsis below gives you a little bit more insight into what to expect:

“After leaving Arkham Asylum, Barbara attempts to make amends with Gordon. Then, Bruce and Alfred track down one of Thomas Wayne’s former friends from Project Chimera, but Hugo Strange disrupts their plans.”

First things first, how long do you think Barbara’s attempt at redemption is going to last? If there’s one thing that we learned from the first season, it is that she is infinitely more interesting when she is playing for Team Bad Guys.

As for the promo below, it gives you a pretty good sense of one person who’s going to be back as a direct result of some of Strange’s experiments: Mr. Freeze! While we’re not sure just how much we’re going to see of Nathan Darrow throughout the season, the fact of the matter is that this version of the character is potentially even more fearsome than before. We kind of love that this show is getting a little more like the comic books, since it adds to the overall craziness.
