‘Legends of Tomorrow’ episode 11 preview: Jonah Hex and ‘The Magnificent Eight’

While tonight’s “Legends of Tomorrow” episode brought us into the future, we’re going back far into the past for the next new episode … and meeting an iconic DC character to boot in Jonah Hex.

The next new episode of the show is entitled “The Magnificent Eight,” and the synopsis below makes it clear that Jonah and Rip Hunter just so happen to have a little bit of shared history between them already:

“When the team needs a place to hide out, Rip (Arthur Darvill) sets a course for the Old West. Upon arrival, they start a fight with a gang of outlaws, putting the small town in jeopardy. Luckily, an old friend of Rip’s, Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech), steps in to save them.”

Isn’t this going to be fun? We are definitely excited to see how the show interprets this character, especially since he hasn’t had too many opportunities to shine outside of the comics books. We’ve tried to forget that the big-budget motion-picture ever happened.

One other thing that we do have to remember here is the sole fact that this is going to hopefully move us closer and closer to the big season finale, which could mean that we get an opportunity to see a showdown with Vandal Savage, and hopefully find out in the process who Patrick J. Adams is going to be playing. That role is one of the biggest mysteries out there at the moment when it comes to the show.
