‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 17 video: Is there a new plan for Oswald?

It has not been an easy past few weeks for Oswald Cobblepot on “Gotham.” In the wake of grieving over his mother’s death, the character managed to meet Elijah Van Dahl (Paul Reubens), a man claiming to be his biological father. As it turns out, he was, even in spite of our suspicions that it was some sort of cruel trick.

The real trick actually came from the rest of Elijah’s family, who were none too pleased about the idea of this man coming in and potentially taking away part of their family fortune. Therefore, he died before he could change his will, and in the sneak peek below from Monday night’s new episode (entitled “Into the Woods”), they all do almost everything in their power to ensure that he has no power whatsoever in orchestrating what comes next. His family is ready to kick him out … at least until they hear that he would do more or less anything to find a way to still be there and connect with the only family that he has left.

For the time being, this is not going well for Oswald. However, at the same exact time who knows? If things turn around and Oswald finds his inner villain once more, we can only imagine the sort of chaos that this could mean for the Van Dahls. Given how we want to see the Penguin return to prominence, we’d be really thrilled to see it happen sooner rather than later.
