‘Empire’ season 2, episode 13 preview: ‘The Tameness of a Wolf’ and Lucious’ past

Tonight, “Empire” season 2 showed some of the early stages of Hakeem as Empire Entertainment CEO, and let’s just say that this is not exactly smooth sailing insofar as starts go. He’s facing some hurdles that he is going to have to overcome (and quickly) if he wants to emerge on the other side in one piece and in a better place.

So where are we  going moving into next week’s new episode? “The Tameness of a Wolf” is the title, and based on the synopsis below, we’re going to see Hakeem try to figure out how to keep Laura and Taina from completely tearing each other apart while on tour. Meanwhile, Lucious Lyon will be bringing up some pain from his past as he tries to get back on top of the game with a new single. Specifically, we’re talking about some memories of his mother.

“Tensions between Lucious and his sons continue to rise. Back at Lyon Dynasty, Lucious aims to direct his most emotional and honest music video yet and recreates a traumatic interaction with his mother for the new single. Meanwhile, on the Mirage a Trois tour, Tiana and Laura begin viciously fighting over the spotlight, forcing Hakeem to mediate between the two divas.”

The promo below has just about everything you could hope for and then some when it comes to this episode, from emotional flashbacks to some major drama around Hakeem and his love life. So much for keeping these professional at Empire, right?
