Is ‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 17 new tonight on Fox? New video hypes up ‘Pinewood’

Let’s start off this particular “Gotham” article with some bad news: After many consecutive weeks now of new episodes, there is no installment airing on Fox Monday night. Clearly, someone at the network decided that this was going to be the prime position in which to take a break.

What we have for you below is at least something to tide you over before we get around to the rest of the season … and it is definitely creepy and then some. As a matter of fact, we’d say not to watch it unless you are ready for a jolt. At first, this starts off as a nice commercial-of-sorts for a peaceful place known as Pinewood, but then things take a very dangerous, crazy turn not too long after that.

What do we know about Pinewood? Not too much at the moment other than the following two things:

1. This is the title for the upcoming April 18 episode of the show; the April 11 installment is “Into the Woods,” which makes it all the more curious that Fox would opt to release this video now as opposed to any other time.

2. Through our brief browsing of the internet, we cannot find a distinct comic-book connection to the name Pinewood … but the famed Pinewood Studios in England at one point housed the Tim Burton “Batman” movie starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. It is certainly possible that this named was created as a subtle nod to that.
