‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 18 preview: Why ‘Hell’s Angel’ could be huge Misha Collins story
For those of you who have been looking for “Supernatural” as of late to drop the whole case-of-the-week conceit to focus more on the larger mythology, rest assured that there is quite a bit for you to like on the next all-new installment of the show. Its title is “Hell’s Angel,” and this is going to be a chance to get a spotlight more on Lucifer and Amara as they each make some big moves for the purpose of furthering along their own endgame.
The synopsis below offers up a little more information, and for all fans of Misha Collins and what he has been able to do on the show as of late, this looks as though it’ll be a fun one:
“Lucifer (Misha Collins) takes a trip home and tries to assert himself into Heaven. Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) he has a way to take down Amara (guest star Emily Swallow).”
We especially hope that this episode is one that furthers along the main story when you consider that after it airs, it’s going to be some time before we end up getting a chance to talk about upcoming episodes. There will be a hiatus that runs from April 6 to April 27, and the one bit of silver lining we can offer you from that one is that this will be the last hiatus of the season. From there, we’ll be getting new episodes the rest of the way until the finale in May. Be on the lookout for some more scoop on some of those installments as we get closer to May.

This was a great episode and Misha is doing a tremendously good job of impersonating Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer…BUT, I’m really looking forward to getting Cass back. Was nice to see Ruth Connell back as Rowena. I thought she was gone for good. As always, Jared, Jensen and Mark #1 keep this series going.

Seriously I started watching Supernatural with my family for the Castiel Angel is just too amazing!!! And now acting like an angel from hell is so cool also but of course I prefer Castiel be back with the Winchesters, Love his queer and cute relationship with Dean, hope watch more of that, It is really seductive!! Love the Winchesters but I feel bored when I don’t see Castiel, he needs to be more present on the show please!!

I’d love for Lucifer to ditch Castiel’s unattractive vessel and pick up a hot new one – would be handy to stop Sam & Dean recognising him

How can you call Castiel unattractive? The true Cas is beautiful inside and very cute outside?

There is a looong dearth of Misha this spring, and even longer of Cas… I miss them both like crazy.

I’m sorry but Amara’s whiny voice trying to say “Hear me!” just made me laugh! You would think she would have more authority in her voice if she’s God’s sister. She just sounds like a 3 year old spoiled little girl trying to get someone’s attention. I don’t think it will scare anyone.

I think that was the point…

Yea because while God is wise, experienced, and powerful. Amara is inexperienced, lacking wisdom, and only somewhat powerful

I can only hope for Lucifer and Amara to kill each other, and leaving nothing but dust behind.

It sure is! I think he looks at it as a way to appease some of the more squeamish people he has to deal with.

Sounds like a good one in the pipes. I’ve been missing Cass a lot but I’ve been loving what the actor has been doing as Lucifer. I think they should be using him more. I like him as a team with the Winchesters and I don’t think there would be these lulls then. It stinks there’s a long hiatus after.

I am SO looking forward to this episode. Misha as Casifer has been one of my favorite things they’ve done on the show over the last few years – he’s doing such an outstanding job with the role! That said, I’m also looking forward to when the boys inevitably save him and get their best friend back. Bring on the rest of the season!
