‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 19 preview: Zach Woods, Gary Cole return in ‘Landing’
Tonight, “The Good Wife” decided to really make a major step forward in the relationship between Alicia and Peter Florrick … and it was ironic, given that for many people it would be considered a major step back. Alicia told her husband that she wanted a divorce, which is something that the two really should have done a long time ago.
Based on the synopsis below for “Landing” on April 17, there’s going to be a variety of new things for Alicia and the rest of the cast to worry about. By the time we make it to the end of this episode, these characters may have plenty of other stuff to worry about:
“Alicia and Lucca travel to Toronto to represent NSA Agent Jeff Delinger (Zach Woods) who was detained by customs officers while attempting to re-enter the United States. Also, Diane grows concerned when her husband, Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole), decides to retire and sell his business to Holly Westfall (Megan Hilty), a rival business owner, and Peter contemplates an uncertain future when he faces possible arrest.”
As to what Peter’s future is going to be, it’s an interesting one. If he goes to jail, it is a very shocking conclusion given the fact that Peter has gotten himself out of some serious binds before. While the man has done some despicable things, at the same exact time we don’t really want to see any of these central characters in jail by the end of the series. There is an idealistic part of us that simply wants to think that all of these characters, at least in one form or another, have learned from some of their mistakes over time.
