‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ week 2 rankings: Nyle DiMarco, Ginger Zee, Antonio Brown lead
We’re now a full week into “Dancing with the Stars,” and it is with that in mind that we are starting to get a sense as to where all of the contestants stand. In analyzing this further, we’ve got the latest official rankings to help us out!
Here, we are doing our part to suss out where the top twelve stand going into Monday’s results show. We are basing this on scores, popularity, and edit first and foremost. Get to voting, and head over here to see what these stars are performing Monday night!
12. Geraldo Rivera – Let’s face it: Geraldo was pretty awful in his first routine. Maybe he does have some fans, but are that many of them really watching this show and picking up the phone for him? We see a David Hasselhoff-esque early exit here.
11. Mischa Barton – Fans of “The OC” who are feeling especially nostalgic may help her, and we really hope that they do. You can see that she really wants to do well in this competition.
10. Doug Flutie – NFL fans should help to keep Doug safe for a week or two; unfortunately, that may be it. We’re just not sure that there is a whole lot of upside for him beyond this place unless he improves.
9. Marla Maples – One of the real wild-cards this season. She’s not a huge name, but the Donald Trump connection could help her. Also, her scores were decent in the first week.
8. Kim Fields – The former “Facts of Life” star was a lot of fun in week one, but can she keep that u? Like Marla, we think that she could go either way.
7. Wanya Morris – Extremely entertaining, and yet at the same exact time, is he really so well-known outside of his group? We’re not sure his name or personality will do enough to draw votes.
6. Jodie Sweetin – A solid start, and that and “Fuller House” should keep her safe for a while. The problem is that this season, there are many big fish.
5. Paige VanZant – The irony is that this may be the most vulnerable Paige is all season. With her family background in dance, she’s going to get better and better quickly.
4. Von Miller – He’s the Super Bowl MVP! How can you not proclaim him to be a favorite to go super-fan this season? The only cause for concern here is that all of the football stars could cancel each other out.
3. Antonio Brown – Antonio and Von were really close to each other in terms of scores the first week. The main reason we put Von a little lower right now is because we know the sort of voting block Pittsburgh Steelers fans will be.
2. Ginger Zee – She’s ABC cross-promotion, she’s relatable, and she got great scores in the first week. Basically, we have every reason in the world to think she will do well on this show.
1. Nyle DiMarco – Finally, we turn to a guy who has one of the most inspirational stories we’ve ever seen on the show … and to go along with that, he also got really strong scores.
