‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 20 (finale) video: Brandon tells Stef, Lena about Mason

The finale of “The Fosters” is going to be coming up on Freeform in a mere matter of days, and with that, we imagine that we’re going to get a chance to see a wide array of key reveals on many different subjects … including when it comes to Brandon and his relationship with Cortney.

In the sneak peek below, the character makes it clear to Lena and Stef that she has a child in Mason, and before they come up with any concerns, he makes it clear that this is really not a subject up for debate. Once we hear that, our only real response is “okay then,” since if he’s not really willing to discuss this at length, what else can anyone do?

Ultimately, though, we do not think that the biggest problem for the Brandon – Courtney relationship at present is anything that he tells Lena or Stef; instead, what he probably needs to think about a little bit more is his relationship with Callie. Cortney knows enough about her to know that she is the person who he has had a sort of forbidden relationship with, and she’s probably smart enough to realize that those feelings are not going away. Since she also has a child to think about here, is she really going to be in a position to ignore some of his issues while pondering if she should move forward in this relationship with him?

We ultimately expect that this finale for “The Fosters” will have many purposes, including setting up the story for season 3; we look forward to diving more into this over the course of the coming days!
