‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ week 2 spoilers: What Ginger Zee, Nyle DiMarco, Mischa Barton will dance to
We already have seen the entire roster of performers on “Dancing with the Stars” his the stage at least once, and that gives us a chance to know what they are capable of. Some of them look like instant favorites; meanwhile, others clearly still have their work cut out for them.
For the sake of this particular article, we’re going to touch more on what some of the dancers will be performing this time around, along with our take on all of them.
Antonio Brown & Sharna Burgess – Rumba – “Adorn” by Miguel. We do know the song (which is rare for Latin week), and given Antonio’s natural intensity that comes from his athleticism, he should excel here.
Doug Flutie & Karina Smirnoff – Paso Doblé – “Buster Voodoo” by Rodrigo y Gabriela. Doug needs to have a comeback here to have a chance to stick around in the competition. Karina is especially good at choreographing Paso Dobles, so maybe that is her beacon of hope.
Geraldo Rivera & Edyta Sliwinska – Salsa – “Ran Kan Kan” by Tito Puente. Why does the show keep saddling Geraldo with fast dances he’ll probably never be able to do?
Ginger Zee & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Samba – “Sorry” by Justin Bieber. Ginger was one of the surprises of the first week, but this feels like a somewhat-odd choice of song for a samba.
Jodie Sweetin & Keo Motsepe – Samba – “Bun Up the Dance” by Dillion Francis, Skrillex. Jodie was good in the first week, but we have a feeling that this is where she could become more of a contender.
Kim Fields & Sasha Farber – Salsa – “Conga” by Gloria Estefan. Kim was another surprise, and it feels like this is especially a chance for her to show off her sense of fun.
Marla Maples & Tony Dovolani –Argentine Tango – “Don’t” by Ed Sheeran. Tony is great working with people especially in these ballroom routines. This should suit Marla as an actress very well.
Mischa Barton & Artem Chigvintsev – Cha Cha – “Pata Pata” by Miriam Makeba. We’re worried for Mischa. She struggled last week with a style that should have been great for her, and this one has more challenges.
Nyle DiMarco & Peta Murgatroyd – Rumba – “Stole the Show” by Parson James. This is another challenge for Nyle, given that the timed moves on the rumba are a little more subtle, and much of the routine is based on lyricism and emotion.
Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas – Salsa – “Danza Kuduro” by Don Omar featuring Lucenzo. Given Paige’s history, we feel like any week could be a big week for her.
Von Miller & Witney Carson – Cha Cha – “Ain’t Too Cool” by LunchMoney Lewis. Von will do great in this. He’s a fun-loving guy, and the cha cha is a fun dance.
Wanya Morris & Lindsay Arnold – Salsa – “Echa Pa’lla” by Pitbull. Similarly, Wanya showed in the premiere that he has the personality and the spirit to do some of these routines really well.
