‘Doctor Who’ season 10: Companion has reportedly been cast

Doctor Who -Who will replace Jenna Coleman as the next Companion on “Doctor Who“? We know that this is something many people out there have been wanting to get some sort of answer to for quite some time, and we are now pleased to say that we may be getting closer to an answer than ever before.

Speaking to a Brazilian site Omelete (translated quotes courtesy of the Radio Times), star Peter Capaldi supposedly stated that the announcement of his future co-star will be made at some point in the reasonably near future:

“There will be a new companion, along any minute, which I’m very excited about, ’cause obviously I know who that is and we’ve been doing a bit of work together already and it’s very exciting. Because it’s a very different sort of take on it.”

“Clara had prior knowledge of the Doctor … It was conceived as a human connected to your timeline, and so had access to the cosmic nature of the Doctor. She understood a little about how he was. And as she was already with [Eleventh Doctor] Matt [Smith], she knew the Daleks and the TARDIS. Now we have someone who knows very little about the Doctor.”

We do think that this new Companion will of course be rather different, and it would be absolutely shocking to hear if she was not in any way. This is a show, after all, with a penchant for shaking things up.

One way or another, it definitely feels like you’ll be waiting for a while to get some more news as to how this Companion and the Doctor work with each other on-screen. New episodes are not slated to air until the Christmas Special alter this year.
