‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 trailer features Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, action, and mystery galore

After keeping you waiting for some time, HBO has finally decided to unleash the official “Game of Thrones” season 6 trailer upon the world!

How is it? For the time being, we’d say that it does an excellent job of getting you excited without actually mentioning any one thing that is taking place in the story. You can watch it over here (it’s labeled a red band, which is the reason for its lack of inclusion on the article itself), and it showcases some stories directly following where they left off. Cersei, for example, is still in the process of reeling following her Walk of Atonement, while at the same time Dany is getting accustomed to a new, different environment where she is once again at the mercy of the Dothraki people. She’s went from being at the bottom to the top to now the bottom again, and survival is key.

There are a few interesting teases when it comes to armor, but for the most part, we don’t really think that there is any one element that rises to the top. The appeal of this show is at this point the strong performances from Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, and the rest of the cast, coupled then with the amazing locales and the at-times relentless action. We feel like this will be the biggest year for the show yet, and not just because the show is now ahead of the books.
