‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 13 preview: What’s next for Ellen Pompeo, cast?

While there have been a wide array of intense storylines on “Grey’s Anatomy” so far this season, it was interesting in some ways to see how Thursday night was a little bit more of a slow burn. Did we learn some things? Sure, but much of it seemed more designed to set up things to come than necessarily pay anything off right now.

Based on the synopsis below for next week’s “All Eyez on Me” episode, it appears that some of that is going to carry over. As for how much of it, though, that remains to be seen. The synopsis below offers up some further insight:

“Meredith, Bailey, Jackson, Callie and Jo travel to a military hospital to perform an extraordinary and extremely risky surgery on a veteran with an advanced tumor. Meanwhile back at Grey Sloan, Andrew is tired of being Maggie’s worst kept secret; Ben makes an impulsive surgical decision; and a team of cheerleaders wreak havoc in the ER.”

We feel like there are still a few other revelations that are not teased in this synopsis, so we’ll just have to wait and see what comes out over the course of the coming days!

Update: We’ve got the promo below, and what surprises us a little bit about it is that it feels almost like the doctors are thrown into an us-against-the-world sort of situation where they are not entirely welcome, and that has to feel both a little bit different and unusual for them. It’s almost like they are not the cool kids at high school.
