‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ spoilers: ‘Good Morning America’ meteorologist Ginger Zee reportedly aboard

It’s not exactly often that we see meteorologists appear on “Dancing with the Stars,” so with that in mind, we’re willing to potentially ignore some of the corporate synergy that is obviously present here for ABC.

According to a report from Us Weekly, Ginger Zee of “Good Morning America” is set to be appearing on the upcoming 22nd season of the reality show, and will be paired with none other than former champion Val Chmerkovskiy. Zee has been on maternity leave ever since welcoming a son with husband Ben Aaron, but this announcement (which will be on “GMA,” fittingly, March 8) coincides almost perfectly with her return to work the day before.

We imagine that travel-wise, this could be a rather exhausting gig for Zee given that “GMA” tapes in New York City, which means that she will have to make some frequent journeys back and forth to Los Angeles to take part in the show. Many other stars have done this, though, so she should be able to pull this off.

As far as her dance ability goes, this may be the bigger enigma since we really don’t know altogether much about her as a person. She’s used to being on TV, but reporting the weather and actually trying to entertain the public are very different things. Maybe there are plenty of “GMA” viewers who love her, though, and that will help her to stick around for a while.
