‘Suits’ season 5, episode 16 (finale) spoilers: Judgment day for Mike Ross
We’ve said for years that “Suits” may be the most underrated show on TV, and we are seeing that time and time again with the final run of season 6 episodes. “Tick Tock” tonight was absolutely brilliant; not only was it exceptionally written, but it also featured some of the best performances we’ve seen in some time from Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, and so many others.
Next week, everything is going to end for the season with an episode entitled “25th Hour,” which could be the most intense episode of the entire series to date. Mike’s future hands in the balance, and he is going to have to resort to a potential home-run scenario in hopes to ensure that he has a shot of getting out of this reasonably unscathed.
The synopsis below gives you some other information as to what to expect:
“As Mike’s day of reckoning draws near, it threatens to shatter the lives of those closest to him. Faced with the uncertain outcome of his court battle, Mike makes the one play he has left.”
At the end of tonight’s episode, we saw the oh-so-clear tease of Mike meeting up with Anita Gibbs to potentially accept one of two deals. Whether or not he actually opts to go through with it is something that will be at the core of not just this finale, but potentially the rest of the series if he ends up turning on one of his fellow attorneys and friends, who helped him get to where he is in the first place.

suits is basically Mike Ross and Harvey winning every case while Mike is street smart and Harver is college smart. So no time or whatever for Mike and no time for harvey — I hope

My question is, why have Hardman and Tanner been noticeably absent during this entire ordeal?
THIS IS THEIR DREAM SCENARIO!
Something is up with that! I wonder if Anita Gibbs is having an affair with Hardman, and that Hardman or Tanner has a mole: the black legal secretary who seems so innocent, perhaps?
I don’t trust her, and I don’t believe that her press release about Mike’s promotion to junior partner was just an innocent mistake.
Hardman and Tanner have been after Harvey and Jessica for years, and now that they are TRULY vulnerable they are conspicuously absent…nowhere to be found.
Am I the only one who finds that to be a bit odd? I also remember Louis threatening to kill Hardman. The writers have said that we wouldn’t know who the ultimate culprit is until later. Well, it is now “later”, and we know that Hardman never comes straight forward. He always, ALWAYS makes sneak-attacks and uses other people to do his dirty work.
What if Hardman is behind all of this, and he actually gets killed? He was no doubt recording Louis’s threat. Season 6 could be all about a murder mystery.
It’s also curious that Mike’s undergrad dean hasn’t appeared. Remember, he was the vendictive one who expelled Mike and notified Harvard (that Mike had helped students cheat in calculus) to get his undergraduate transfer acceptance revoked. Why didn’t the prosecution use him instead of Trevor? He would have been much more credible.
Back to Gibbs, I think someone above her is going to figure out that she has done something shady, and she will be ousted at the last minute.
I also think that the real power player in this whole thing is going to let Mike and the firm go. They’ve helped too many powerful clients and companies.
They have a lot of juice, and EVERY reason to protect the firm.
Nobody will go to prison, but don’t be shocked if Hardman and Tanner reappear in the finale licking their chops.

Mike would never turn on Harvey ever! It would be so out of character and from seasons before this one not counting the Darby thing which hurt Harvey but not his life and career which Mike would never want to happen.

I think that he will try to take the 2 year jail time deal, but Harvey finds a way to get him out of the deal, eventually finding that the jury found him innocent. That would be a great ending.
