‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 16 preview: Is Shemar Moore’s Derek in danger?

If you are a loyal follower of “Criminal Minds,” then you may have already heard a thing or two about next week’s new episode simply titled “Derek.” It’s a powerful episode for Shemar Moore, who is going to revisit his past in a very unusual way.

We don’t want to waste much time describing what’s coming up, mostly because the synopsis below does a very good job at it instead:

“When Morgan is abducted, the BAU scrambles to find him and save his life, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Thomas Gibson directed the episode. Legendary actor Danny Glover guest stars as Morgan’s father, Hank.”

We don’t want to spoil too much of what is going to happen in this particular episode for you in advance, but we’ll at least give you a small tease on the episode following this one: It’s title is “The Sandman,” and it will be airing on March 26. Another cast member in Joe Mantegna is directing this installment, and just in case this was not enough for you when it comes to cast members getting behind the camera, we know that Matthew Gray Gubler is going to be helming at least one more installment this season, as well.

Aside from all of the scoop, we’re just excited to see what Glover brings to the table here because he is, quite frankly, a legend. Who doesn’t want to see how this comes to fruition?

Oh, and we forgot to remind of one important thing when it comes to Morgan’s backstory: Hank is dead.
