‘Girl Meets World’ season 2 finale: One more ‘Girl Meets Legacy’ tease
As much as we’d love to share more news right now about the “Girl Meets World” finale entitled “Girl Meets Legacy,” the reality of the situation is still this: It’s a long ways away from coming on the air. March 11 is the episode’s air date, and when you consider that you really cannot be too shocked that the Disney Channel has not released much information about it just yet. We expect that there will be a little more information by this time next week, and in looking beyond that, maybe there will be a promo by the time we get around to early March.
What we have for you below is the first Twitter tease from the show’s writers, saying that one of the themes of the finale is going to be gratitude, and showing those who have helped you that you appreciate it. Therefore, maybe we see some sort of tribute to Cory Matthews in this episode, even if it is subconscious as opposed to being explicit in every scene.
One of the parts of this episode that is somewhat mysterious still and interesting to figure out is how much of a role Cory and Topanga will have in the third season. Obviously they’ll still be around as Riley and Auggie’s parents, but given that Riley is growing up and heading to high school, will he still be her teacher? Auggie is too young to start to enter his class, and that is therefore something that probably would not happen for a few more years.
Ultimately, we imagine that there will be some funny moments in the finale, but also a number of sentimental, sweet scenes that show just how far some of our main characters have come since the pilot. It may have only been two years, but a great deal can happen in that time.
If you missed it, head over here to see what we had to say about “Girl Meets the Bay Window,” otherwise known as the penultimate episode this season! Also, sign up today to have some other updates sent right to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Disney Channel.)
