ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 12 preview: Kerry Washington, Scott Foley, and ‘Wild Card’ questions
The next new episode of “Scandal” set to air on ABC is entitled “Wild Card,” and this will be a rather interesting chance to see where the story will continue to operate … and also how. After all, we learned tonight a thing or two more regarding Mellie’s decisions to stick with Fitz during their complicated marriage, and we have a feeling that story is far from over. Meanwhile, we’ve already seen the beginnings of some rather-complicated schemes that are likely coming when it comes to Elizabeth North.
What we want to focus on at least for a minute, though, is trying to figure out precisely why Jake Ballard is now in charge over at the NSA. This is something that is questioned and set up all the further in the official synopsis below:
“While Fitz is preoccupied with his own interests, Cyrus begins to orchestrate his next master plan, and Elizabeth North uses David to mastermind a plan of her own. Meanwhile, Olivia continues to question what exactly Jake is planning in his new role as head of the NSA.”
Do we think that Jake could do something that harms some of our other characters specifically? We don’t necessarily think that, but we certainly think he’s possible that he could do things that they would not approve of. Based on the sneak peek below, it seems as though “romance” is going to be at the forefront of almost everything … though how you choose to define that is certainly unclear.
