‘Shark Tank’ video: Can Float Baby convince the Sharks they mean business

Shark Tank -Here’s just a word to the wise when it comes to any business appearing on “Shark Tank“: If the Sharks start to laugh at your demonstration immediately, you’re probably facing a little bit of an uphill battle. Unfortunately for Float Baby, this is precisely what they are dealing with.

We understand that the idea of the business sounds a little bit ridiculous on paper: A center where babies can undergo hydrotherapy and also massages in an effort to provide them more stimulus, and make parents happy at the same time. If this actually does work to give infants a better sleep and make them more relaxed, then maybe you can argue that there is something there! What parents value more than anything else is their child’s health, and also their own ability to sleep during the night. This business may help to make that so.

Now comes the hard part: This company needs to prove not only that the business works, but that this is a business that in some capacity could actually be scaled. We feel like that as a concept is far easier said than done. If you want to expand this idea outward, which is really necessary if you are coming into the Tank, you need a marketing plan, and faith that there will be other people out there you can trust with your vision.

If we were a Shark, we’d probably go out on Float Baby for that reason more so than the legitimacy of the idea at all. Maybe it works, but it seems like there could be a problem convincing customers of this.
