‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 13 video: On Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Valentine’s Day

There is a new episode of “Supernatural” coming to The CW on Wednesday night, and with a title like “Love Hurts,” it is probably fair to say that you can see a story almost like no other. There will be elements of romance in here no doubt … but they’re probably going to be tragic ones.

In a way, the sneak peek below is indicative of some of this as the latest case for Sam and Dean is revealed: A woman who literally had her heart ripped out on Valentine’s Day. There’s also a very funny component to this, as well, as Jensen Ackles’ character turns up looking completely hung over after what appeared to be a very wild night. He’s got a hickey, he smells, and he looks to be eating disgusting leftover Chinese food.

Do we get any sense at all in this sneak peek as to how this story is going to unfold or end? Not exactly, but at the same time we really don’t care. It’s funny. To us, that’s what we really are enjoying more so than anything else. It’s a chance to laugh before you dive into what is probably going to be an episode with at least a few serious moments, even if it is not altogether super-serious all of the time.

Also, what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with “Supernatural”? It’s probably one of the most unromantic shows out there, at least in terms of its two leads having love interests that last a long period of time.
