‘Shameless’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Debbie walks in on Mr. Wexler!

On “Shameless” season 6 as of late, what we’ve seen more or less is the Debbie character get something akin to marching orders. Frank told her a thing or two about welfare, and now she’s also landed herself a job working for Mr. Wexler, a man with children and a dying wife. She is now a nanny, but somehow, she’s looking to bring her relationship to the next level.

We like to think of the sneak peek below as evidence that Debbie is going to be out of a job extremely soon, acting in here as though she can pretend to be 18 and seduce Mr. Wexler to do whatever she wants. Apparently, walking in on him while he is walking out of the shower is a part of the master plan. The two exchange a few words, and that’s a quick end to the scene. It’s funny, but at the same time also makes it clear why Debbie as a character can never get ahead. The “Gallagher Way” is in so many ways just a flat circle, albeit not in a Matthew McConaughey sense. You go around and around until something terrible happens and you’re dead.

Tomorrow, we’ll be back with some further news on this “Shameless” episode, and our advice at the moment is rather simple: Be on the lookout for more previews and updates the moment it finishes airing! Hopefully, this same episode will give us more information on the state of the Gallagher house, and also if we are at the end of the road for Lip and Helene. Signs point to “yes” now that more of the feelings are now out in the open.
